Morgan & Jessica- The Darlington House- La Jolla- 05-23-14

We had the great honor to be the entertainment last Friday for Morgan and Jessica's wedding at the beautiful Darlington House located in the heart of La Jolla.

The wedding was orchestrated by Beth Wilkinson and Rachel Juarez from Joy Culture Events.
They did a fabulous job, before the wedding: organizing all the different events of the night, and during the event, and all that with a BIG smile always!

The Abbey Catering Events and Co provided the fine gourmet food, with Chuck as our captain for the night.

The Ceremony Prelude was interpreted by Yumiko Oya, pianist, and Michael Wise, guitar.

Beside the cocktail hour, dinner and dance music, we were also providing music and microphone for the Ceremony for the processional and the recessional.

Processional: "Suite Bergamasque: Clair de Lune" by Claude Debussy
Recessional: "Hard Sun" by Eddie Vedder

When we first met with Morgan and Jessica, they were specific about the music that they envision for their wedding. We truly believe that music tells a story about people ! They wanted to hear the music they love for their special day, and of course we are all about it!

✓    Personalizing a wedding isn't just about the style of your wedding or the colors chosen for your linen, it's also through the music: music sets the mood, the ambiance of an event.
We all remember that special song that we used to listen when we were a child or a teenager, or during our first date....

“After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music.”  Aldous Huxley

Morgan and Jessica had an amazing songs selection, we mixed it up between cocktail hour, dinner and dancefloor.

The best reward for a wedding DJ is to see the Bride & Groom dancing all night long!  And of course the guests too!

Before their Grand Exit, we played "Wheel in the Sky" by Journey,  Morgan and Jessica were suddenly surrounded by all their families and friends in a circle of love! Such an amazing memory!

Morgan and Jessica left the Darlington House and their guests in a Classic 1929 Durant 4-Door Vintage Car, it was such a fantastic and classy way to say good bye, and exit to attend the after party!

(We are DJs not videographers!) It is just to have a feel for this beautiful wedding!

We wish Morgan and Jessica a long life of Love and Happiness!

We had the best time at your wedding!
Your families and friends were amazing, such a great support group to begin your new life as husband and wife!

Cortney & Logan- Levyland Estates- Carlsbad- 05-17-14

We couldn't be more thrilled to be the entertainment for Cortney & Logan's wedding.

Cortney grew up in San Diego, and Logan is from Vancouver, Canada. They both currently live in Canada.

Ryan and I love Canada,  as we had the opportunity to work in the Bahamas with a lot of Canadians, and were lucky to spend 2 months in Montreal right after we met!
They are always the nicest people! Oh…. and my brother is Canadian!!! ;-)

So, Cortney & Logan decided to have their wedding celebrated in Carlsbad at Levyland Estates.

The ceremony took place on the beach, and of course the weather was amazing.

The stunning bride arrived with her father,  followed by some Spanish guitarists and the entire wedding party.

It was such an original and beautiful entrance.
It was so simple and  sophisticated at the same time.
We had for the first time a GoPro Phantom flying over us, and captured the exchange of vows.

The music selection from our bride and groom was great: from Jimmy Hendrix, Joni Mitchell to Chromeo, their guests started dancing at dinner!

I have to add the link of their first dance song "Dream Machine"by Mark Farina: we so much fell in love with this music, it's such a great pleasure to discover new music from new artists at each wedding…..

Of Course, we played Jealous (I Ain't With It) by Chromeo, the famous Canadian electrofunk duo !!!

The wedding was beautifully orchestrated by Megan Lessert from The Abbey Catering Wedding & Event Design.

We had a Great Time with Cortney, Logan, their families and friends.

We wish them a long life of Joy & Happiness!

Jennifer & Jason- The Queen Mary- Long Beach- 05/09/14

We DJ a lot of weddings, but this one had a special place in our heart as it was our cousin Jason’ s wedding.

We couldn't have been more thrilled that he decided to tie the knot with Jennifer.

She is such a beautiful person inside and out, with her outgoing personality and her SoCal laid back lifestyle, we knew that they were a perfect match for each other.
They also share a passion for sports (golf, volleyball), traveling and have a lot of  fun together.

They choose the perfect location for their BIG DAY: very special to their hearts and definitely at their image: a Southern California Legend with stunning views on the beautiful Pacific Ocean!

We were so thrilled to be hired for their wedding on the Queen Mary!

The Queen Mary is such an institution in Long Beach.
Build in 1930 in Scotland, on October 31, 1967, the Queen Mary departed on her final cruise, arriving in Long Beach, California, on December 9, 1967. She has called Southern California her home ever since.

We were glad to arrive 4 hours prior to the starting time, because we had to go through the freight and services elevators (guess who got stuck???) and walk through these miles of corridors.

The ceremony took place on the Sun Deck Gazebo, a stunning location on top of the ship, you can easily feel that you’re the King of the World!!!!

Cocktail Hour was set-up on the Verandah Deck. The guests could enjoy a dramatic downtown Long Beach and harbor views.
Our cocktail hour playlist was a selection of the favorite tunes from our beautiful newly-wedded couple:
-          The Eagles: Hotel California
-          Grateful Dead: Touch of Grey
-          James Taylor: Your Smiling Face
-          Bob Marley: Three little birds etc….

Then, all the guests were invited to attend the Verandah Room and welcome Jason & Jennifer for their Grand Entrance.

We had so much fun entertaining this group of Party People, the dance floor was packed till late at night and everybody had a great time.

Proud Fathers

The Legend tells that The Queen Mary is haunted, last Friday, the boat was haunted by the spirit of joy and happiness, and from start to end, this spirit has never left!!!!

Congrats Jason and Jennifer! We love you!
