Andrea & Peter- Pelican Hill Resort- Newport Beach- 11.22.14

We were very honored to be part of Peter and Andrea's wedding last Saturday at Pelican Hill Resort

It was a beautiful sunny day in Newport Beach.

We were hired to Emcee the wedding, play some music during the Band breaks, and run the dance floor for the end of this amazing day!

We loved working with this couple.  We were so thrilled to be their Emcee and DJs and when the night was over and the whole thing was a huge success we were really so happy.

The Ceremony took place at the Rotunda, this is the outdoor space that every bride dreams of for her special day, overlooking the ocean.

We captured Peter and Andrea's tears of joy as soon as they discovered the room. Their reaction was priceless, their vision had come true, thanks to Jane from White Lila inc. who created absolutly perfection with the decor!

Shannon Avery, from Hoo Films,  did a same day edit of Peter and Andrea's wedding.
She was able to capture the emotions of this incredible day and stunning venue.

The Band was amazing! Led by its guitarist/vocalist Rick Cowling, the Cowling Band entertained the guests during dinner, bringing a high level energy all along!

We couldn't be happier for these two love birds! We are wishing you a beautiful life together full of love and happiness!

Kanako & Max- Levyland Estates- Carlsbad- 11.15.14

We had the great pleasure to entertain Max & Kanako's wedding at Levyland Estates last Saturday.

Every event that we play has something “memorable” that sets it apart from the rest. Max and Kanako’s wedding and reception had plenty of different elements that were incredible.

But the the ceremony on the beach during sunset will stick in our memories forever.

John Evans, a talented guitarist, was performing during the ceremony, that's always a beautiful and romantic touch.

From the first time we met them, we could tell they were meant for each other… and it was no surprise that their families and friends went above and beyond to help make their wedding day an incredible experience.

After an incredible dinner provided by The The Abbey Catering and Events Design all the guests and their kids danced the night away.

This beautiful event was orchestrated by Petr Trebin from The Abbey Catering and Events Design

We are wishing Max & Kanako a Long Life of Love and Happiness.

Angie & Patrick- San Diego Museum of Art- Balboa Park- 10.25.14

We had the great pleasure to be hired by Angie and Patrick's wedding at the San Diego Museum of Art last saturday in Balboa Park.

In 2015 the Museum will celebrate 100 years of art in Balboa Park and the Centennial Celebration of the 1915 Panama-California Exposition. The original inspiration for a permanent public art gallery in San Diego can be traced to the Panama-California International Exposition, held in Balboa Park during 1915-1916. The Exposition, which was organized to celebrate the opening of the Panama Canal and to promote San Diego as a seaport, also showcased San Diego as a growing cultural center.

What a beautiful, historical and classy venue!

The Ceremony was held in The May S. Marcy Sculpture Court and Garden, situated adjacent to the Museum's west wing, is a beautiful outdoor courtyard featuring 19th- and 20th-century sculptures.

The pre-ceremony music was very jazzy. Patrick, our groom is a fervent amateur of jazz music, and our beautiful bride Angie is an accomplished pianist.

Music was extremely important to them.

So important and present in their life that one their best friend, Ryan from Los Angeles, composed their own music for one of their processional.

The goal for us was to have seamless music during the ceremony.

For cocktail hour, our two love birds invite their guest to head towards the John M. and Sally B. Thornton Rotunda.
The space echoes the Spanish architectural design of the facade with two stories of open space, a grand staircase and a handcrafted fountain of Cicenza sandstone.

Talking about a grand entrance, our bride and groom, preceded by their bridal party, walked down this beautiful marble staircase, to make their first steps into this world as husband and wife.
Gorgeous!

Then the guests were asked to join the reception to the sculpture court.

The father of the bride delighted the guests with a very original and sentimental moment.
As a professional pianist, he offered a pure show playing and singing, and brought back Angie's memories with a special song she created when she was 11 years old.
We were absolutely speechless in front of such a talented musician.

Live music is always a treat, but when the father of the bride is the musician, it's magical!

Then, came the first dance! We knew that Patrick and Angie had planned a choreography, but their first dance was absolutely perfect! They put such hard work into it, it was amazing to witness!

And then the party started and the dance floor never emptied till the end of the night.

The father of the groom, a natural entertainer, gave us the best air guitar show, for sure Angus McKinnon Young was with us!

All this beautiful event was orchestrated by the talented Brenda Swann from Swann Soirees.

It was such a an exquisite and tasteful event!

It was our pleasure to help them creating the wedding of their dreams!

We are wishing Angie and Patrick a long life of
Joy and Happiness together!

Shirley & Susan- El Prado- Balboa Park- 10.24.14

We were so thrilled to be the entertainment for Shirley and Susan's wedding at El Prado Restaurant last Friday, October 24th 2014.

The Prado at Balboa Park is a National Historic Landmark which was originally built for the 1915-16 Panama-California Exposition. This two year festival was held in Balboa Park to promote San Diego and to celebrate the 1914 opening of the Panama Canal.

Susan and Shirley exchanged their vows at The Casa del Rey Moro garden (House of the Moorish King)
This garden was designed by Richard Requa for the 1935 California Pacific International Exposition and influenced by the Moorish gardens of Ronda, Spain.
This garden was so perfect to celebrate Shirley and Susan's Love.

For their pre-ceremony music, Shirley and Susan wanted some fun and upbeat tune to bring their guests into a festive and fun ambiance.

The ceremony was quite emotional as the officiant was Shirley's own sister Maria.
Tears of joy were definitely dropping!

The reception was held on the loggia on the 1st floor with an unique and gorgeous view of Balboa park.

For their cocktail hour, we played a lot of the 80s music. Beside getting married that day, Susan and Shirley were also celebrating their 30 years together!

We also played a mix of their favorite artists including Seal, Tracy Chapman or Everything But the Girl. Same for dinner with more upbeat songs!

We loved working for Susan and Shirley, it was a fantastic night and we couldn't be happier for these two women!

This night will stay for sure forever in their memory!

These two incredible individuals and have been the perfect match for each others since 1983!

Cheers to another 30 years together..and more!

We are wishing Shirley and Susan a lifetime of love and happiness together!
